Bulbophyllum longisepalum

Scientific name:Bulbophyllum longisepalum

Species name is the synthetic term of the Greek words longus (long) and sepalum (sepals). Grows in the island of New Guinea. Flowers are large. Plant size is 8~12 centimeters. Pseudo-bulb is about 2.5~3 centimeters long, the top grows a thick and leathery oval leaf. Blade is wide, center has a shallow concave, the surface slightly glossy, the top protrudes. From the root of the pseudo-bulb, at about 4~5 centimeters, grows the scape, which is 2.5 centimeters, the flower about 9 centimeters, with 1 to 3 flowers, the surface has a large number of spots. Flower diameter is 8~13 centimeters. Color is brown, with a unique boldness. Sepals are very long, and because they are covered by the flower, the overall does not look like a flower, the form is unusual. Flower life is 10 to 14 days. Flowering season is in winter. It is easy to cultivate.
