Bulbophyllum sikkimense

Scientific name:Bulbophyllum sikkimense

Recorded in several places of the Himalayas in Sikkim and Nepal. An epiphytic orchid. Small species. Plant size is about 6 ~ 12 centimeters. Pseudo-bulb is about 1 centimeter high, narrow and obovate, the top grows a leaf with a shallow concave at its tip. Scape and leaves are of the same height, the top has 10-12 flowers, grow in a scattered-shape. Flower is about 1.5 centimeters long, the outer edge of the lateral sepals overlap, the color is yellowish-green, brown bottom, with little red-brown spots above, there is a line near the bottom of the same color. Petals are about 0.2 centimeters, there are three thick reddish-brown veins and red purple ciliate. Lip is curved, tongue-shaped, about 0.2 centimeters long, and is of the same color of the petals but darker. Flower life is 7 to 10 days. The flowering season is in summer. It is easy to cultivate
